Hz info:July 9, 2025,The Cashew China R&D Headquarters officially commenced operations in the Xiangcheng Economic & Technological Development Zone (ETDZ) of Suzhou. Key attendees at the inauguration ceremony included Shen Chunrong, Member of the Xiangcheng District Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of the ETDZ Party Working Committee, Yang Xiaofeng, Member of the Xiangcheng District Party Committee Standing Committee and Executive Deputy District Governor, alongside Japanese Cashew Corporation directors Satoshi Sotome and Mitsunori Kabe. This project will significantly elevate the development level of the new materials industry within the ETDZ, bolster regional industrial structure optimization and the climb up the high-end value chain, injecting fresh momentum into Xiangcheng's industrial transformation.
Cashew (Suzhou) Coatings Technology Co., Ltd. (Cashew Tech), the implementing entity, has invested a total of RMB 100 million. The company has leased a 2,096.4 square meter space at No. 600 Kangyuan Road within the ETDZ to establish a high-end coatings R&D laboratory. Upon completion, the lab is projected to develop 2,000 batches of coatings annually. This includes an annual R&D capacity of 6,000 kilograms (corresponding to 1,200 batches) for solvent-based coatings and 3,000 kilograms (corresponding to 800 batches) for water-based coatings. Primarily serving the electronics and electrical appliances sector, the project is expected to generate annual revenue of RMB 170 million. Its operation will effectively enhance the R&D capabilities of Xiangcheng ETDZ's new materials industry, drive the optimization of the regional industrial structure and its ascent towards high-end segments, and infuse new vitality into Xiangcheng's industrial transformation and development.
