Tensions in the Middle East intensify the rise of international crude oil

International crude oil rose on Thursday (January 2) amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and concerns about supply shortages. New York Mercantile Exchange West Texas light oil futures settlement price in February 2020 was $61.18 per barrel, up 0.12 US dollars / barrel, up 0.2% from the previous trading day, with a trading range of $60.64-61.6 US dollars / barrel; London Intercontinental Exchange Brent crude oil futures settlement price in March 2020 was $66.25 per barrel, up 0.25 US dollars / barrel, up 0.4% from the previous trading day, with a trading range of $65.72-66.58 US dollars/ Barrels.
