Preparation and performance study of the self-embrittle composite coatings for radioactive decontamination of surface layer of various materials

Researchers found that the composition and structure of self-scattering composite coatings have a decisive influence on their performance in the radioactive decontamination of various material surfaces.
The research proves that the use of SiO2-modified 3-aminopropyltrimethoxysilane in combination with a random copolymer P(PMMA-co-PMAA-co-PTFEMA) to produce self-assembled composite coatings is an effective method to remove radioactive contaminants from material surfaces.
