Recommended products: Meiren Chemical agent Wacker Chemical's concrete and other cement product additive SILRES® BS 1802

2024-09-14 08:41

Product Overview SILRES ® BS 1802 CN is a water-dilutable, solvent-free emulsion of organically modified silanes and siloxanes. It is recommended for use as a stock solution as an internal waterproofing agent for newly cast concrete. In addition, SILRES ® BS 1802 CN can also be used as an internal waterproofing additive for non-load-bearing concrete products and other special cement products.

Features

SILRES ® BS 1802 CN can react with water in the capillary structure of newly cast concrete to release a small amount of ethanol to form an effective substance, which can greatly reduce the water absorption rate of concrete, but at the same time does not block the micropores and capillary structure in the building material structure, thereby ensuring the original water vapor permeability of the building material structure and continuing the breathability of the building material structure.

It also has the following other characteristics:

-Good alkali resistance;

-It is a water-based environmentally friendly product;

-Good storage stability and dilution stability.

Application

Processing

Non-dilutable waterproofing additives are recommended according to EN 934-2:2009 Tab.9:

The recommended addition range is 0.1% to 1.0% of the cement content.

When the addition amount reaches 0.5%, the water absorption is significantly reduced.

SILRES ® BS 1802 CN can be added while mixing with water or immediately after adding water. It is not recommended to mix with other additives.

We recommend testing the compatibility of SILRES ® BS 1802 CN with other concrete additives. The effect will be better if it is mixed thoroughly when added.According to DIN Technical Report 100, Section 9.5 (equivalent to EN 206-1 and EN 1045-2), SILRES ® BS 1802 CN must be tested for early compatibility with each new concrete component. In order to ensure the properties of freshly poured and cured concrete more precisely, for example, the cement binder content can be adjusted according to EN 206-1 and EN 1045-2 as a basis for individual applications. In isolated cases, it may occur that the early curing of the cement is slower after the use of this additive.

For use as a waterproofing additive in non-load-bearing concrete products, a preliminary test is required according to clause 6.2 of standards EN 1338, 1339 or EN 1340. SILRES ® BS 1802 CN diluted with water (dilution ratio 1:4 water) is recommended. The amount of SILRES ® BS 1802 CN diluted with water is about 1.0% to 5.0% of the cement. When added to 1.0% of the cement, a significantly better reduction in water absorption is achieved. In addition, in order to achieve the water-binder ratio set by the structural mechanics, it is necessary to calculate the amount of water to be used quantitatively during dilution.

Storage

The product label indicates the "best before" date for each batch. If the product is stored beyond the recommended use date on the product label, it is not necessarily unusable, but the performance required for its use should be tested to ensure the product quality.
