Axalta opens new global headquarters at Philadelphia Navy Yard

Axalta has inaugurated its new global headquarters at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, relocating its main offices from Delaware County.

This strategic move merges the headquarters with Axalta’s Global Innovation Center, aiming to enhance collaboration within the organization. A ribbon-cutting ceremony and employee appreciation event marked the occasion, highlighting the company’s “ONE Axalta” approach to unify operations and streamline decision-making.
“With our new headquarters and Global Innovation Center at the Philadelphia Navy Yard, we’re creating an environment that promotes teamwork and innovation. The location is also an accessible hub for our employees, business partners, and customers,” said Chris Villavarayan, CEO and President of Axalta.
Flexible Workspaces Promote Collaboration
The new headquarters offers flexible workspaces designed to support Axalta’s workforce and foster innovation. The facility includes spacious meeting rooms and modern collaboration areas, enhancing teamwork on advanced coatings solutions. Axalta’s leadership team, along with other local employees, has also moved to the new location.
Axalta’s Global Innovation Center at the Navy Yard is one of the largest R&D facilities for coatings in the region, and it plays a critical role in the company’s global product development strategy. It is equipped for internal meetings as well as events with partners and stakeholders, supporting Axalta’s focus on driving forward-thinking product solutions.
