Jotun Ready to Amplify AMPP

Jotun will showcase how its approach and focus on R&D will support the industry to maintain steel integrity.

Jotun, one of the global leading manufacturers of protective coatings, announced its participation in the upcoming AMPP Annual Conference + Expo in Nashville, TN, USA, taking place between April 6-10, 2025. Delivering technical presentations and sharing insights to the industry, Jotun will showcase how its approach and focus on R&D will support the industry to maintain steel integrity.

“We are thrilled to return to AMPP this year, to meet the industry, share our knowledge and to highlight our dedicated R&D efforts - which is industry leading,” said Rebecca Leite, regional category manager Steel Protection fore Jotun.

During the event, Jotun will present six technical papers on a variety of industry topics through its experts from R&D.

• Mikael Strand: Impact of Free Fatty Acids, Water Content, and Temperature on the Chemical Resistance of Coatings in Biofuel Precursor Storage.

• Anders Skilbred: High temperature performance of phenolic/novolac epoxies - thermal degradation and barrier properties.

• Anand H.S. Iyer: Selecting Heat-Resistant Coatings: Beyond NORSOK Standards.

• Sebastian H. Hansen: Predicting the anti-corrosive performance of zinc rich epoxy primers by Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy.

• Marcin Dudek: Weathering performance of topcoats: Effect of colour and pigmentation type.

• Zuzanna Wierzba: Testing intumescent coatings to the extremes - through hot and cold to explosions. Discussion of Blast Overpressure testing as a method of evaluating an intumescent coating.

Each presentation will highlight Jotun’s R&D knowledge with an objective of both educating the industry as well as sparking conversations.
