International Yacht Coatings Brand Awarded Australian Made Accreditation

Micron AP, Micron Extra 2, Micron One, Ultra 2, Trilux 33 and Primocon are the first International yacht coatings products to receive this accreditation.

AkzoNobel's International yacht brand under has been selected to join the Australian Made Campaign in its commitment to support local craftsmanship with premium quality products.


Micron AP, Micron Extra 2, Micron One, Ultra 2, Trilux 33 and Primocon are the first International yacht coatings products to receive this accreditation from the not-for-profit organization.


These five fouling control coatings and a primer will now bear the iconic green and gold Australian Made logo which serves as a symbol of authenticity and quality for ethically sourced products originating from the country.


Produced at AkzoNobel's Sunshine site in Melbourne, the products met the strict criteria of high standards for quality, craftsmanship and production set out by the Australian Made Campaign.


Micron One is a high strength general purpose polishing antifouling based on cuprous oxide that provides protection in heavy fouling areas.


Micron Extra 2 is a high-strength antifouling which contains Biolux® Technology to provide improved resistance to slime, while Micron AP is a maximum strength product that also offers advanced performance against difficult fouling in all environments.


Ultra 2, is a high-strength, hard antifouling product with Biolux Technology ideal for fast powerboats and competitive sailing which can be burnished to further reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency.

Trilux 33 is a slow-polishing antifouling for aluminium vessels of all sizes, formulated with Biolux Technology to give highly effective antifouling protection in all waters.


Primocon is an aluminium pigmented, vinyl anti-corrosive primer that can be recoated after long periods, is quick-drying and can be applied by brush, roller or spray.


The Australian Made initiative, which launched in 1999, aims to promote the growth and sustainability of Australian manufacturers, growers, and producers, with the logo providing an easy way for consumers to identify locally produced goods.

International® will be showcasing its Australian Made accredited products at Gold Coast’s Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) on May 23-26. They will be at Stand H332, in the Marina Boulevard Hall.
