With strategic investments in Suzhou, Belo Horizonte and Agadir, Sika continues to implement its local-for-local strategy. The new facilities are designed to strengthen regional supply chains and support future growth in key markets.

Sika has announced the expansion of its global production network with three new investments in China, Brazil and Morocco. These projects are part of the company’s local-for-local strategy aimed at aligning manufacturing capacities with regional market needs, enhancing supply chain resilience and supporting sustainable innovation.

In Suzhou, eastern China, Sika has expanded its existing production site to serve the urban region of over 12 million people. The facility specialises in high-viscosity polyurethane technologies, which are used in advanced adhesive and sealing systems across the automotive, construction and industrial sectors. These formulations are designed to increase durability, performance and design flexibility.

Regional expansion aligned with market demand

In Brazil, Sika has extended its production capacity near Belo Horizonte, the capital of Minas Gerais, to include admixture manufacturing. The site strengthens Sika’s footprint in one of the country’s most important industrial hubs and supports key customers in the ready-mix concrete, cement and mining sectors.

Meanwhile, in the EMEA region, Sika has opened a new facility in Agadir, Morocco. The plant is equipped with state-of-the-art production technology for mortars and admixtures. Its strategic location enables Sika to supply southern Morocco and neighbouring markets, including Mauritania. The investment is intended to meet growing demand for construction materials and to provide fast, localised service.

Commitment to local presence and future growth

Sika emphasises that these projects support its growth strategy and long-term commitment to customers through local production capabilities and regional responsiveness. By reinforcing its presence in fast-growing markets, the company aims to enable further expansion while maintaining sustainable operations.
