HZ info,On January 19, 2026, the ninth anniversary of IPO listing, Rianlon held the groundbreaking ceremony of R&D and manufacturing base in Johor, Malaysia. Li Haiping, Chairman and President of Rianlon, Dato' Onn Hafiz Ghazi, Menteri Besar of Johor, Aldo Govi, CEO of Infineum, and representatives from various other parties attended the groundbreaking celebration.
Rianlon Malaysia R&D and Manufacturing Base
Rianlon Malaysia’s USD300 million R&D and manufacturing base in Johor will focus on the R&D and global market application of anti-aging materials, lubricant additives, and bio-based materials. Aiming to provide reliable, safe, and rapid solutions for global polymer and lubricant customers. Phase one of the manufacturing facility along with the R&D center are scheduled to be commissioned in the first quarter of 2027.

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Menteri Besar Dato' Onn Hafiz Ghazi explained that Johor's clear strategic advantages in location and superior business environment have attracted renowned international enterprises like NVIDIA, ByteDance, and BASF to establish operations in Johor. He noted that Rianlon is bringing an “innovation engine”, integrating R&D and manufacturing, which is expected to ignite innovation in Johor's fine chemicals and green chemistry sectors and drive synergistic upgrading across the entire industrial chain. The Johor state government commits to continue to enhance the business environment, ensure clear and transparent policies, provide efficient and effective administrative services, and fully support the construction and operation of the project.

CEO of Infineum, Aldo Govi, shared that Rianlon is an important strategic partner for Infineum. The R&D and manufacturing base of Rianlon Malaysia provides an opportunity to deepen cooperation in the lubricant value chain between the two companies. Both remain committed to providing superior lubricant technology, products, and efficient services to the lubricant industry. The in-depth cooperation will establish a new paradigm, playing a positive role in enhancing the security and efficiency of the lubricant additives supply chain in China and the Asia-Pacific region.

The anti-aging additives business is like "rice in the pot": it is a vital revenue source.
The lubricant additives business is comparable to "grain in the granary": is the high growing sector poised to become a major revenue drive.
Finally, life science business is described as "rice seedlings in the field": it symbolizes the company's future growth potential, embodying its long-term vision.
Malaysia hosts Rianlon's first overseas R&D and manufacturing base. This is not only a significant milestone in Rianlon's globalization strategy but also a new starting point for Rianlon and its partners to create value together. He believes that the completion and operation of this project will significantly enhance the flexibility and security of Rianlon's global supply chain and greatly improve the service efficiency and innovation quality in providing anti-aging and lubricant materials to global customers.
